Boundless Congress

I was pleased to learn today that the International Boundless Congress USA Western Territory preliminary registration is approaching 1,000 delegates. This is terrific, considering the cost of just getting there.

As we see the plans for the Congress and the celebration of the 150th anniversary of The Salvation Army, we expect it to be a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity.’

I imagine it will be streamed live on the internet, where there could be more online than in the congress venue. I certainly hope so.

We can pray even now for a gathering anointed by the Spirit of God. We’ve only just begun.

Psalms 17:
“4-5 I’m not trying to get my way
in the world’s way.
I’m trying to get your way,
your Word’s way.
I’m staying on your trail;
I’m putting one foot
In front of the other.
I’m not giving up.”

    Hi Commissioner, Eddie Hobgood here from the International Congress Office. First of all, we are so blown away by the response of USA West toward the Congress. Your numbers are amazing…and climbing! You’ve been more-than-generous with your resources and for that we are so grateful. Yes, the Congress will be webcast. With just under 2 million Salvationists and associates around the world, less than 1% will have the privilege of actually being at the O2 and so to include the hundreds of thousands who can’t be there, every general session will be webcast live and then archived. Additionally, SAVN TV is taking the lead in producing a one hour pre and post session programme where delegates and speakers will be interviewed, footage of all the myraid of things happening around the O2 Complex will be highlighted so that people will feel like they are there participating. There will also be sessions where we Skype in Salvationists from around the world to share a word of testimony or even sing along with one of the songs in the Arena. We are praying for a God-honouring Congres that will be truly inclusive of the entire Army world! Thanks for all you are doing to make it possible for your people to be in London and for us to get the message out across the globe. Be Boundless! Eddie
