Doing The Most Good

...every day of the week.

A recent promise of The Salvation Army is that they’re “Doing The Most Good.” Not a bad thing for people to think or say about us, just not necessarily the best thing for us to say about ourselves. This is not meant to argue this point here, though.

The point is that we as believers should be doing good wherever we are and with whomever needs our help. Here’s another lesson poised from a question from Jesus.

Matthew 12:9-13 (NIV2011)
9  Going on from that place, he went into their synagogue,
10  and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to bring charges against Jesus, they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11  He said to them, “If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out?
12How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13  Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.
How will you prove your faith today? Doing the most good. Why not you?
