Employee Appreciation

Annually, we gather for a special luncheon to recognize our employees. Today we gave plaques and movie tickets to employees who have served in five year increments. On that basis, one fifth of our employees were asked to come to the front of the banquet hall, receive their recognition and have their photo taken with yours truly.

I see our employees as major stakeholders in The Salvation Army. Many of them are Salvationists and many belong to other churches as well. Others are well intentioned people who are with us for the good that is accomplished. They all represent The Salvation Army faithfully and consistently. We are a better movement as a result. Thank you, Lord.

“With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ’s being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 MSG
