Do we really need critical reminders of the value of every day? Sometimes.
Of course, “this is the day the Lord has made…” should be reminder enough to keep our attention on what we have today without salivating for tomorrow. But we don’t always.
So what is it that detracts us from stopping to smell the roses?
Great hopes? Wonderful plans? Greener grass?
I’m a forward thinker, but I know I cannot live there. We all live in the day. Let us not miss it for binocular appetites. Truth is, how we receive today will determine our tomorrows anyway.
