What is it that makes your day great?
Mine usually involves the evidence of the presence of God or connecting with my family.
Today, we accepted Candidates towards becoming officers and Auxiliary-Captains. Names like Lisa, Juan, Zhao, Jun, Brandon, and Monica will be entering the College for Officer Training in August. Harrick, Daisey,Helmer, and Shai will soon be receiving their rank as Aux-Captains.
Why am I excited? You should hear their testimonies. “I am called to be a Salvation Army Officer.” “My name means victorious and my wife’s name means army.” “She will be a fantastic officer.” “He will be an amazing officer.” “Both husband and wife have Master of Theology degrees.” These are just a few of the comments made by the candidates themselves and by those who recommend them.
We will need them all to win the world for Jesus. We will need more to come forward as well. Between them, they communicate in five different languages. That’ll help. They are younger and they are more mature. They are newer to The Salvation Army and they come from families steeped in the movement.
Yes, God has plans for them as He does for the USA Western Territory. Hallelujah!
Know that there’s room at the cross for you, too.
Isaiah 43:1 “But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”
