I met a Salvationist young person tonight who, when asked what was in her future, said, “I hope to do Revolution Hawaii and then go to the Training College to become an officer. How wonderful.
She wouldn’t know it, but she took my breath away. I want to meet more young people like her, who boldly want to follow the will of God for their lives. When I asked her further where would she see herself serving, she suggested a remote part of the territory that not a lot of people would try. Her confidence, poise and sincere interest in serving God witnessed to my soul and has encouraged me.
I hope our youth all sense that they can know the will of God and follow Him with similar promise. I see it as God’s plan for our youth and young adults. Young people, see the opportunities and then seize them in the name of God.
“Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.” James 1:12 MSG
