the measure of the believer...

This is a great concept and even better characteristic of honorable people. Read what the Bible says about integrity in people:

Proverbs 10:9 ESV “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”

I suppose we all would be happy to be able to walk securely. The evidence is always before you. This is not a characteristic that can be hidden. Then there’s this understanding about God’s perspective on integrity:

Proverbs 12:22 ESV “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.”

Just this morning I prayed to honor Him with my life. He delights in high integrity.

Colossians 3:23 ESV “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,”

This verse from Colossians begins to probe the heart  and capacity of integrity. If we are living for ourselves, we are suspect, but integrity involves living for God and all the good He stands for, and doing it with intentionality.

Philippians 4:8 ESV “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

At the end of the day, have those near you seen your integrity? Yes they have. To what standard of integrity have you reached? Aim high, my friend and honor God.
