In the corporate context, the expectation to know God’s heart to be a leader will not be valued by all. I understand that. Many military leaders too wouldn’t be quick to add that qualifier to their list of leader priorities either. That is, unless they knew what I know.
God’s heart is at the center of the entire creation and everything that has been and will be created. He knows about corporate matters and wars. He knows about a country, a city, a community, and a home. What decision is it that you need to make that He isn’t already aware?
Knowing the heart of God is more essential than the side of the tracks you come from, the degrees you earned at university, or even your inherent giftedness to lead. Where did that come from anyway? Of course.
So lead today…using your education, experience, and personality. You’ll do it best from your holy relationship with God.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 ESV “Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
