Some ministers like to take Monday off. I suppose it’s a good plan when you’ve worked hard on Sunday. I wonder about those who also worked hard on Sunday but had to go to work on Monday? Rest is needed. When do people get it?
If you’re open to leading on Monday, let it be to follow up what God showed you on Sunday. A call to those who made new decisions for Jesus and for those who brought their concerns for prayer would be a good lead. How about those who didn’t make it out on Sunday? They could use your leading interest.
Does it need to take all day? Probably not. There’s some time for a latte in there as well as some thoughts about next Sunday. Always lead with time with God. Without Him, you might as well surrender.
“It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.” Deuteronomy 13:4 NIV
