The Salvation Army continues to serve at the scene of the mudslides of Oso, Washington. Mostly, the service is to the rescue workers where meals and refreshments are being served by our volunteers. Families and friends of those affected by the mudslides too are being supported as best as possible. Counseling and practical support is offered indiscriminately as needed.
We pray with those who have lost loved ones in the mudslides and lift them into the care and deep love of our Lord. Life has changed for them. The outcomes may create even more difficult changes in their lifestyle and everyday experience. God will join them in the journey of their newly diverted lives.
“4 Even when the way goes through
I’m not afraid
when you walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd’s crook
makes me feel secure.”
