With cell phones as they are, you can track your calls to the minute all you want. You know who called you and you know who you called. You also know who hasn’t called and who you haven’t called.
Tonight I called family as I always do on Sunday nights, but I also received a call from a good friend with tough news. I’m glad I had the phone on and that my friend knows me well enough to call at anytime. The connection is valuable. I’m grateful.
The thought of connecting with the Lord is not dissimilar. He’s always available and willing to hear from us. We need not be concerned about cell towers or paid telephone plans.
Think about who you might call just now. As you do, connect with God. Both conversations will be improved.
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26-28 NIV
