For the first time in 25 years, Carolyn and I ventured into the “City that never sleeps” to see the Christmas Spectacular at the Radio City Music Hall. Before I write another word, you need to do this. It’s worth the trip to NYC.
As always the production was the highest of standards with live music all around, the Rockettes, Santa and a very special ending. The whole show was incredible with significant improvements from previous years. The music is exceptional with many new Christmas songs that the department stores are not wearing out. There are even 2 scenes with a Salvation Army Christmas Kettle.
The best part for me is the live nativity with a beautiful narrative, different from the “One Solitary Life” script that was effectively used for many years. It warmed my soul to see this production affirming the meaning of Christmas in such a beautiful and respectful way. Congratulations to the Radio City Music Hall. Keep up the good work.
The show goes deep into January. Go for it!
