The Main Thing

So what is the main thing for you? I suppose it depends upon where you are in life.

Graduating this year? That would be a main thing.

On the championship bound team? Winning the championship would become a main thing.

Meeting with a realtor for the closing on a house? That would be a main thing.

Car broken down on the side of the road? There’s a main plan.

Being a good parent?

Being a good teacher?

Being a good spouse?

I’m in with many of these.

For The Salvation Army, I’m convinced that winning the world for Jesus is the main thing. If we’re not doing that, it’s a serious mistake. If we are doing it, the joy of serving Jesus is at its best.

Don’t dog it. Just do it.

Matthew 28: 18-20 “Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.”
