‘Tis the Season…

In the last two days Carolyn and I have attended the Christmas Festivities for Retired Officers of four divisions: Del Oro, Golden State, Sierra Del Mar and Southern California. We have enjoyed every minute and celebrated the friendship and service of these beautiful people.

Each of them having served the Lord for many years, continue to do so as their health and circumstances allow. They join for the Christmas gathering in fellowship with God and each other. They deserve only the best.

So we wish them a Happy Christmas and their days to be filled with joy, hope and satisfaction that the Salvation Army they gave us is being handled with love and mission effectiveness. We met with them today to assure them of our love and whole intention to go forward in the name of Jesus.

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples. “I am the Vine, you are the branches.
