Psalm 95:6 ESV “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”
This is a calling for all to worship the Lord. Didn’t think you had a calling on your life? You do now.
John 4:24 ESV “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
So in worshiping the Lord, we do so in the privacy of our hearts and in the public of our journey. That’s what it means when it says “in spirit and in truth.”
Now get ready for the definition of worship for all of us:
Colossians 3:14-17 ESV “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Can we do it? Absolutely.
Psalm 29:2 ESV “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.”
