...listen to them.

If you’re not a youth, you were once. (Children don’t usually read this blog.) Many of us have influence on the youth. So read this carefully:

1 Timothy 4:12 ESV “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

There is an expectation that the youth would influence the adults and is it too simple to say, we should pay them honest attention. Now here is a more complete understanding of the place of youth:

Jeremiah 1:4-8 ESV “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”

Intended for an individual? Sure, but there’s no reason that the essence of these words are relevant to all youth. Then we see the way forward for them as this:

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
